SCREAM

The wind carries it on its shoulders, effortlessly
it hits every ear drum, resonating effectively
the child wails on, guttering out without a pause
people wander on , without enquiring the cause
Trapped in their own troubles dead eyes stare ahead
some still sleep in the cold, ignoring the warm bed
promises and hopes lay shattered by the tone
the child howls on like a dog who lost his bone
many lay undisturbed, abstaining from the world
they remain calm, irrespective of the frequency hurled
lungs aching, throat hoarse, out of breath he screams on
using every molecule of energy, since the day it was born
a jingling sound, a funny face or a drenched tit
nothing calms the kid, the kid throwing the fit
the director trained his star well, he shines bright
he could go on, go on screaming through the night
some one shoot it, end his fury end his misery
not everyone wants democracy, everyone needs liberty
