ODE TO SILLY SIREN 2

The mountains rumble with a flame,
                         no man could satiate
the valley begs for a sprinkle,
                      of a fertile saint
poised elegantly, nature yearns a challenger.

The storm - a murky warrior,
                   sheds her barriers
with a fire that burns black,
             she begs the breeze
lick my rivers dry, nibble, suckle and tease

The eruptions, waiting with a heavy breath
beg for release,
leap with tremendous strength
ablaze she erupts,
squirting sweet fury
Radioactive, like Madame Curie

ODE TO SILLY SIREN

The winds of liberation straining
against the fair binds of convention
ideas, ablaze - smoldering a hot lavender
against the pressures of tradition
cheeky words singing
the pink horizon of revolution
Deep divine eyes, gaze patiently
conveying a torrent of suppressed emotion
Oh woman! Beauty whose beholder exudes seduction
Rip, raze and rap the spirit of freedom
for generations, yes generations

A PATIENT LOVER

Death is a darling, an envious lover.
Life, her sibling, a thorny flower

Death is patient, She loves.
She is patient, she loved without assuming

She smiles as you flirt.
She smiles when you flirt with her sister.
Life is quite exciting, despite her critters

But death has a limit, she needs your love too
A void is only a void, when one refuses to fill it.

She is a patient lover, she gives you hints
Patience mistreated, her mercy taken for granted
No greetings, no happy offerings
God,steals her credit for 'missed' accidents

On and on she waits for you, without complaint
Death let's you forget yourself, in her sister's embrace.

Smiling, death reveals her calm face
Passion is a crime, death the criminal
Sick of waiting, getting sentimental.

THE EARTH NEEDS HUGS

"A king who wishes to stand on the shoulders of his subjects, needs to nurture their feet first."

"Mother!", she whined picking herself up, savouring the metallic taste of asphalt for the third time today.

"The earth hates me!" She bellowed, a red bruise on her knee swelling with her rage

"Why do we fall darling?" Her mother asked with a wise wink.

"Batman never walked on this road mother", she snapped back.

"Why do we fall Maya?" Mother asked again, the naughtiness heightened with her rising eyebrows

"So we can pick ourselves again?" She sullenly questioned, cursing the pale butler.

"We fall, because earth deserves hugs too. We fall not to pick ourselves again, we fall to be reminded of her love. She doesn't hate you darling, she loves you so much it hurts."

Maya looked at her mother with buttoned eyes. The earth wants hugs? She loves me? She looked at the road again, he felt lonely. She imagined him wearing a sad smile.

People rode on him, walked on him, spit on him and dug him up.

Maya stood up straight, balancing herself on her toes. She could feel the earth pulling her.

She closed her eyes and let herself fall into the embrace.

It didn't hurt anymore. She kissed the road with a smile.
